Kevin Amankwaah has had his contract with Northampton terminated; this comes into force with immediate effect.

The vastly experienced defender, released by Exeter last summer, joined the Cobblers as a free agent and signed a one-year contract but a little over half way through this it’s been decided that it would be best to end this early.

Andy King had brought in another option at right back and that’s prompted him to end Amankwaah’s contract with his last appearance for the Cobblers being on January 11th when he conceded a penalty in the defeat to York.

Someone else with Cobblers previous, Luke Norris, has left Brentford for another loan spell and has joined league one rivals Dagenham.

The striker enjoyed a successful spell at Sixfields and will spend the next month with the Daggers.
