Results aren’t the be all and end all of pre-season, far from it really, but Chris Wilder will still be less than impressed that Northampton couldn’t break down Burgess Hill Town on Saturday.

On a positive note they couldn’t break us down either but we had to settle for a nil-nil draw at Leylands Park….

With pre-season kicking-on now more will start to get fill 90-minutes and Wilder allowed no fewer than four players to start and finish the game against the Non-League side with trialists McDonald and Hoskins again given a chance.

The two-match training camp in Sussex has been beneficial but, despite the fact that Burgess Hill lost only three-matches on the way to winning the Ryman South League last season, missed chances will irk Wilder in this game.
