Andy King has made some transfer moves already this transfer window, during his caretaker spell, and another arrival could be confirmed ahead of the meeting with York this weekend?

Sean McGinty is being linked with a loan move to Sixfields.

McGinty, currently with Sheffield United after they signed him from Manchester United last summer, is being lined up to add some defensive cover after Joe Widdowson became the latest defender struck down with injury.

It seems that the 20-year-old, who cost United around a million pound when they signing him from Charlton as a 16-year-old has something of a chequered past but they do say that a past belongs just there, in the past….

If McGinty does indeed sign, as the Northampton Chronicle suggests, you’d have to back King’s judgement on this one wouldn’t you?
