Northampton’s play off bid has been boosted by the news that a trio of players should be fit for the first leg of the semi final against Cheltenham tomorrow.

Kelvin Langmead, Clive Platt and Ishmel Demontagnac are all fit to feature at Sixfields, however Joe Widdowson remains a doubtful.

Aidy Boothroyd, as he told the official website, has a near fit squad to select from. He said: ‘Kelvin, Clive and Ishmel all trained on Tuesday and the only player who maybe a doubt is Joe

‘I’ll have to have a think about whether I risk him or not but everybody else is going to be fit.

‘Unbelievably I am going to have a fully fit squad to choose from apart from Alex Nicholls and that is a great position to be in at this stage of the season.’

Cheltenham have such a good home record so it’s of vital importance that The Cobblers make the most of their home advantage in this first leg.
