I lose track, was the weekend win against Morecambe for Northampton our fifth or six on the spin? I think it was our fifth…. it feels like a sixth though! Whatever the run goes on.

The Manager of the Month win that Chris Wilder secured wasn’t a curse, as it often is, as even having claimed this we continued our winning run with a two-one win at Sixfields on Saturday.

It couldn’t have been a better start for us could it? Fresh from the signing of his contract to seal a permanent arrival Maloney’s cross wasn’t dealt with by Arestidou with Byrom (1) on hand to give us a first minute lead.

Morecambe drew level before the break though Duke did well to keep out Redshaw but Devitt (41) followed up to head home to make it one-one at the break.

The lead was reclaimed early in the second half when Richards (54) turned in Horwood’s cross and when Holmes was fouled we had a penalty opportunity 20-minutes from time to seal the points – Richards hit the post but fortunately, with Goodall hitting the frame of the goal late on, it didn’t make any difference.

Attention now moves away from this game and turns to our next one against Hartlepool and we are looking for your view on what way this will go?

Select the option that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that game, and this game itself, with some views below….
