Northampton suffered yet another defeat at the weekend, defeat suffered at Luton Town in injury-time.

The game looked set for a nil-nil draw at Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon until a familiar face grabbed the points against us.

Mark Cullen would have given Luton the lead had Gregor Robertson not got in a great last gasp challenge with Cullen then heading over an Alex Lawless ball back to him.

The closest we came was John-Joe O’Toole’s header that was straight at Luton ‘keeper Mark Tyler

Tyler had to be at his best to deny Alex Nicholls his first league goal for us since his return from injury with former Cobblers man Luke Guttridge kept out by our loanee Tottenham Hotspur ‘keeper Jordan Archer.

Guttridge (90), who had come off the bench, collected a Michael Harriman’s pass to beat Archer to win it at the death.
