The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Dagenham and Redbridge this weekend.

Northampton Town travel to Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday January 16 for the game at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Stadium and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Iain Williamson
Linesmen: Colin Lymer and Neil Davies
Fourth Official: Dave Bushell

Match Day referee Williamson (Berkshire) has officiated one Northampton game this season – the two nil loss to Millwall back in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in October. In that game he showed four yellow cards, two to Northampton.

He has however taken in 20 matches so far this season and in those games in 2015-16, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 81 yellow cards and five red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Sheffield United and Coventry in December with a total of seven yellows shown, plus one red. Southend and Port Vale back in October saw six yellows being shown. He also showed six yellows in the match between Brighton and Bristol City on October 20 and Cambridge v Accrington on November 21.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
