Northampton’s play-off hopes looked to be ending at AFC Wimbledon on Good Friday but after we battled back from two-down to draw we’re still in the mix ahead of Cambridge’s visit today.

Cambridge, who are still in relegation trouble, come to Sixfields this Easter Monday with us know that we’ve got to inflict more pain on them if we want to keep pace with the top seven.

Diego De Girolamo (thigh strain) has missed the last two-matches due to injury but it’s hoped he Sheffield United loanee will recover from the injury picked up with the Italian U20 side.

Evan Horwood (hip) was back on the bench for the game at the Kingsmeadow Stadium on Friday and could come back in but Tom Newey (ankle) is still a doubt and even though Marc Richards (Achilles) misses this he could come back this season after all.

Cambridge could recall Ian Miller but Richard Tait (knee) is a doubt again with Luke Chadwick and Rory Gaffney still missing.

Having won just once in the last 17-matches played Cambridge sit just five-points clear of safety so this has to be a game we view as one to win as we look to close the four-point gap between us and the play-offs, but will we?
