Northampton Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Northampton Town in the three two victory over MK Dons at the weekend at Sixfields was enough to earn them a place as the manager of the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Page was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘The unbeaten streak continues for Northampton Town. The Cobblers made it 30 league games undefeated with their 3-2 home win over Milton Keynes Dons on Sunday, in what was their first three points of the current campaign. Matty Taylor scored the pick of the goals with a fine free-kick from the edge of the area.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Page for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Chris Neal (Fleetwood Town), Kieron Freeman (Sheffield United), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), Leon Legge (Cambridge United), Harry Kyprianou (Southend United), Colin Daniel (Blackpool), Michael Doughty (Swindon Town), Milan Lalkovic (Portsmouth), Tyler Walker (Stevenage), Danny Hylton (Luton Town), James Vaughan (Bury).

Manager – Rob Page (Northampton Town).
