Clive Platt has been playing with a “severe back injury” for the past six-months.

It’s been a difficult start to life as a Northampton player, with the 35-year-old admitting as much, and whilst he doesn’t want to make excuses he revealed to The Northampton Chronicle & Echo this week he’s had this long-term problem.

A new chiropractor has been turned to with it believed that they can rectify the problem and get him back to his best and he’ll soon be banging in the goals, having managed just two this season so far, the most recent coming in the 3-3 draw with Bradford on Tuesday in the eventual penalty shootout FA Cup exit.
