Northampton want what Stevenage currently hold, a play-off place! If we’re to overturn our five-point deficit this is an away game that we’ve certainly got to win.

A few ahead of us will feel that they’ve got a much better chance than us of making it into the top seven still but a win at Broadhall Way today and we’ll at least give ourselves a chance again, and you can’t ask much more than that!

Stevenage will be without loanee Keith Keane (suspension) with Kevin Lisbie (ankle) doubtful and although they do have David McAllister (groin) fit. Harry Worley (knee) and Calvin Zola (hamstring) are still short of fitness.

Marc Richards wasn’t, initially, expected to feature again this season but as much as this one comes too soon if we get a result today he could return against Oxford on Tuesday.

John-Joe O’Toole (hamstring) will be ‘assessed’ after missing the disappointing defeat to Cambridge on Easter Monday but with Ben Tozer (knee) back in training he could be in the squad.

Defeat on Easter Monday was all the more frustrating given the other results, a win today is imperative or the play-off hopes really are over! Can we get it?
