An approach for Justin Edinburgh, according to him, wasn’t successful this week but the next being linked is Oxford’s Chris Wilder.

BBC Radio Oxford are reporting a Northampton interest in him.

Wilder, who was interviewed for the Portsmouth job earlier in the season, didn’t take a pre-match press conference this week and this has seen the speculation rise that he could be poised to become the next boss of the Cobblers?

The Oxford assistant manager Mickey Lewis said that he hoped Wilder would be in charge for their weekend game.
