The hype surrounding Aidy Boothroyd being believed to be named boss today originated from BBC Radio 5 Live, who claimed last night, he had already taken the job.
However, Northampton’s Chronicle & Echo ‘understand’ that no contract has been signed, or anything being confirmed.
The Chron also today only mention two other candidates as well as Boothroyd. The un-employed Sean O’ Driscoll, formerly of Doncaster Rovers, and the previously mentioned Tamworth boss, Marcus Law.
There will be no announcement today, after BBC Radio Northampton journalist Geoff Doyle Tweeted earlier..
