6 foot 5 Danish striker Poul Hubertz has signed a 12 month contract with Northampton. The striker had been with Millwall for a year and had scored 10 goals from 15 starts and a further 23 starts from the subs bench. Hubertz scored the goal in the abandoned Sixfields` game in December last year.
Millwall fans seem mixed over letting him go, he seemed to have a cult following among some fans. Time will tell if Mr Gray has spotted a gem.
The signing comes a day after Wolves midfielder Daniel Jones signed on-loan for the club until January 2008. Jones is a player that Gray knows well from his Wolves days. He`s another tall player, with speed that can operate on either wing. This no doubt means that new signing Coke`s injury will keep him out of the action much longer than hoped.
Both of the new boys were given their debuts at the Cobblers match at Rushden and Diamonds.
With the signing of Hubertz, Cobblers` fans will be hoping that Quinn has found himself a new home.
